Morgan Wallen canceled his concert a couple hours before it was set to start on Friday night in Tampa.  And a lot of people were pretty angry about it. Morgan said that he powered through the previous night’s show and woke up feeling, quote, “way worse.”  Keep in mind this is not the first time this happened.  Last year at Ole Miss he cancelled his show AFTER the opening acts had already played. Can’t imagine being a fan and buying flights, and hotel rooms . . . All for him to just cancel a couple hours (or MINUTES) before.  But you can’t help when you get sick, so hope he feels better. Jelly Roll did his best to save the day.  Since he was opening for Morgan, Jelly offered up a FREE show for anyone with tickets to the cancelled show.  It was at a smaller venue, but he did the best he could do. And when he got onstage, Jelly defended Morgan.  He said, “My friend is sick as [crap], y’all.  I told him don’t do the show LAST night.  I told him.  I’m glad he took the day to rest his body.” Morgan didn’t just cancel the Tampa show, he also canceled next week’s shows in Charlotte.  He re-scheduled the Tampa show for October 4th and the Charlotte shows to October 18th and 19th.

If you’ve listened to Megan Moroney’s new album, “Am I Okay?”, you probably noticed some breakup themes in her songwriting.  In a new interview she says she’s been going to therapy and isn’t emotionally available for a relationship right now. “I attract things that aren’t good because I don’t have time for something that would be good right now.”  She wants a safe and secure relationship, but she’s on the road all the time.

Shania Twain will host the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards on September 26th.  They’ll air live from the Grand Ole Opry on NBC and Peacock.  Shania says, quote, “Country has some of the most passionate fans in music and us artists are so lucky to be supported in doing what we love . . .”I am honored to host an award show that celebrates these awesome fans.  Get ready for an unforgettable show with lots of big hair, glamour, rhinestones, hats, boots and incredible performances.  Giddy up!”
