Joe Bonsall, who was a long-time member of The Oak Ridge Boys, passed away yesterday.  He was 76 years old.  He battled for four years with the neuromuscular disease ALS. Joe joined the group in 1973 and his high harmonies really soared on hits like, “Elvira” and “Bobby Sue”.  The Oak Ridge Boys went on to win five Grammys and were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2015. Joe was a member of the Grand Ole Opry . . . the Philadelphia Music Hall of Fame . . . the Gospel Music Hall of Fame . . . and the Vocal Group Hall of Fame. Joe’s passing comes only eight days after the death of Rusty Golden, who’s the son of The Oak Ridge Boys’ William Lee Golden. Tributes to Joe have been coming in from all over the Country music world.

Lainey Wilson was doing a show the other night and she started to swoon talking about her man,   Devlin Hodges, he’s a former NFL quarterback, and he goes by the nickname “Duck”. Some fans were wondering what was the inspiration for her new song, “4x4xU”, and now we know.  It’s Duck. Lainey said, “The truth is, I write what I know, and I finally found a man worth writing about.” The whole crowd loved this and cheered.

Ernest just got back from a big show in London with Morgan Wallen and Riley Green after touring pretty much non-stop since April.  And his SON misses him. He announced on social media that he’s taking a one-month break to spend time with his family.  Specifically, three-year-old Ryman. “Ryman is now at the age where every time I get home, he asks me if I’m leaving.  And I just can’t stand hearing him ask for daddy through a phone call anymore.  I wanna spend quality time at home and pour into that reserve.” A bunch of people in the comments supported the decision, including Randy Houser who called being away from family “the hardest part of what we do.” Ernest had more than a half-dozen shows set for this month, but now the next show listed on his website is the Voices of America festival in Ohio on August 8th.

A few weeks ago, Post Malone released his video for “Pour Me a Drink” with Blake Shelton . . . and now Blake is sharing some behind-the-scenes footage on social media. It looks like it was a blast.  In the clip, Blake jokes about it being a huge party . . . and that it was 10:00 P.M., and they weren’t even CLOSE to being done with filming.
