The ACM Awards are tonight at 8:00 p.m. and will air on Amazon Prime. 

1.  The performers include:  Post Malone, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, Kane Brown, and Jelly Roll.

2.  The ACM Kickoff Festival was Tuesday night and they already announced three winners.  Nate Smith won Best New Male . . . Megan Moroney won Best New Female . . . and Tigirlily Gold won best Duo/Group.  This is the first time the Duo/Group award has been presented since 2019.

3.  Jelly Roll said he doesn’t deserve to be in the category of Entertainer of the Year, but he is honored.  He said, “If I could give the award away myself, I would give it to Cody Johnson.”

4.  Jason Aldean plans to pay tribute to Toby Keith by singing “Shoulda Been a Cowboy”.

Zach Bryan and his girlfriend were involved in an accident the other night.  Podcaster Brianna Chickenfry called it, “a traumatizing side-by-side car crash,” and added that their car flipped several times and “everything shattered.”  Luckily, they were wearing their seatbelts. Zach did suffer some kind of injury that required stiches, and Brianna says she’s still finding more bruises and scrapes and that she’s pulled glass out of her cheek.

Garth Brooks performed at the Vatican in Rome over the weekend.  He was surprised by the fans who started chanting “Friends in Low Places” outside of where he played. He says, “It was maybe not the place for it, but it was fabulous.” The Vatican approved his setlist that included a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love” and “Amazing Grace”.

“South Park” is going to tackle Ozempic in an upcoming special called “South Park: The End of Obesity”.  It premieres May 24th on Paramount+.

Randy Travis just added another tour date. He’ll be at the historic Ryman Auditorium in downtown Nashville June 5th, along with his original band and guest vocalist James Dupré. James has been touring with him for years and singing his songs.  Randy hasn’t been able to sing since his stroke in 2013.  James is also the vocalist on the new song “Where That Came From”.  Then they used A.I. to make it sound even more like Randy. They announced it with a video of James singing “Forever and Ever, Amen” at a recent concert . . . but Randy himself sings the “amen” part.

Tracey Gold is 55.  She WAS Carol Seaver on “Growing Pains”.
