Tyler Hubbard recently spoke about the fact that it was Brian Kelley who first wanted to go solo, and that caused them to split. Well, Brian Kelley has now fired back, saying that’s not the way things went down at all. Brian moved his schedule around to do an “emergency podcast. Brian said, “Tyler had solo music out before I even did . . . He had played Biden’s inauguration, which was a huge look to be a solo act with Tim McGraw. He released another song. I didn’t start releasing music ’til April.” Brian said he was shocked that Tyler released a duet with Tim. But he wanted to go solo too, so he was in favor of a plan that they turn their concerts into a 3-hour show. Most of the night they would play together as FGL, and then they’d both get to play solo, too. Well Tyler apparently didn’t like that idea at all. Which is fine, but it’s a bad look to come out and say Brian was the one who wanted to go solo when Tyler had already released solo songs. As for Brian’s diss-track, “Kiss My Boots”, he wouldn’t own up to the fact that was about his relationship with Tyler. They’re both saying exactly the opposite of what the other is. One thing they can agree on, is there will be no FGL reunion any time soon.
Have you ever heard Johnny Cash’s song, “The Chicken in Black”? The basic premise is Johnny needs a brain transplant, so they give him the brain of a dead bank robber, which makes Johnny start robbing everyone. Then he requests his old brain back, but it’s been implanted in a chicken who is now a famous country star and has his own TV show, “The Johnny Chicken Show”. Apparently the song was doing pretty well, until Waylon Jennings saw Johnny’s yellow spandex in the video and made fun of him. Johnny then called his label and told them to stop promoting the song. The song was released 40 years ago and has laid somewhat dormant till then. That is until someone discovered it on TikTok, and now everyone is loving this weird old song all over again.
Parker McCollum wants to buff up, and his inspiration is 57-year-old Tim McGraw. Parker said he’s really slimmed down in the past year. But now he’s bored with just being “thin.” We know Tim is ripped. But that wasn’t always the case. When his fitness book “Grit and Grace” came out in 2019, he said his wife Faith Hill was the one who inspired him to get in such great shape. He’d been drinking too much and not focusing on his health. So she gave him an ultimatum: “If you don’t clean yourself up, you might not be seeing me around.” He quit drinking after that and started working out a LOT more. So . . . good luck, Parker!
