Garth Brooks spent a lot of time working on his new bar “Friends in Low Places” that opened in Nashville this month. But, according to early reviews, there are a few complaints that it was too expensive . . . the food wasn’t great . . . and it didn’t feel like a country bar. Some lady mentioned paying $37 dollars for two drinks. And one guy said, “This is certainly no honky tonk bar. Looks like a club in NYC.” But the major complaint was the music choice. One woman said she was “very disappointed. [It was] not country at all . . . hipster music the whole time. To be fair, when he was imagining the bar Garth said he wanted, “the Chick-fil-a of Honky Tonks”. A few people loved that it wasn’t country all the time.
Kacey Musgraves shared her grandma’s reaction to seeing her nude “Deeper Well” cover. Her grandma basically reacted like she saw a car wreck and told her, “Kacey, you’re a singer, not a stripper.” Of course, it didn’t stop Kacey from using it. She told grandma, “Well, you know what? You can be both.” Her inspiration behind the pose was to show vulnerability and a rebirth from the earth. “Deeper Well” came out last Friday.
Jordan Davis still loves to hear his songs on the radio. In fact, that’s why he moved to Nashville. He says, quote, “Still to this day, there’s no better feeling in the world than driving around with my kiddos and Dad comes on the radio. You don’t have to go to it, you don’t have to click on anything. “You’re driving around listening to Carrie Underwood, then all of a sudden, a song that you wrote, that you’re singing, is coming through the car speakers on country radio. That’s something that will never get old to me.”
Kathy Griffin has hired a professional sleuth to track down her estranged husband Randy Bick after failing to serve him divorce papers. “[Bick] left the former family residence at [Griffin’s] request and has not been in contact with her. Griffin, 63, filed for divorce from Bick, 46, in December — just days before their fourth wedding anniversary. She listed the date of separation as Dec. 22, 2023, and cited irreconcilable differences as the cause of the split.
