Lenny Kravitz received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday,
Jelly Roll underwent a major mouth reconstruction surgery. Luckily, his wife Bunnie XO filmed the whole thing, so we get to see him go from sweet and nice, to still sweet but very drugged. In the dentist chair, Jelly said, “I’ve had these same veneers for 20 years. I’m finally getting them replaced, and I’m getting some implants, and some cavities [done], and some wisdom teeth pulled out.” And then you hear his wife say, “Self-care 2024, baby. Love it.” And that’s the moment you really see the drugs hit Jelly’s system. The dentist off screen asks, “How you feeling?” And Jelly takes a long pause . . . and then says “Sexy” making everyone bust up laughing. Later in the video Jelly says, “I feel like I’m finally taking care of stuff . . . I want a pretty smile . . . I had an ugly smile as a kid and people picked on me and made fun of me.” But it looks like all went well, because at the end of the video, Jelly is walking out to the car on his own volition. Despite looking heavily sedated, he’s still in great spirits and gives us the rock on hand gesture to close it out.
Kenny Chesney told a ridiculous story about Peyton Manning in a recent interview. Kenny said, “Peyton and I have been friends a very long time. You know, before there was a social media presence in the world . . . there was two summers where Peyton, it was like his rookie year with the Colts . . . he went out on the tour bus with us for a couple weekends.” Okay, that sounds normal. Peyton, a soon-to-be NFL all-star, just wanted to party with his friend Kenny on his tour bus, right? Well, Kenny said, “And [when Peyton was there] we’d have one extra guy on stage. He would be up there with a guitar . . . He wasn’t even plugged in . . . And he wouldn’t even change chords. “You have to change chords during a song, but Peyton would never change. He would just keep [his hands] in one spot. He couldn’t even fake it.” Kenny said, “The audience would be looking around, like, wow that guy looks familiar . . . And then I would introduce him as Peyton Manning, and people would go crazy.”
The Carolina Panthers just traded away star linebacker Brian Burns to the Giants this week. And Luke took to social media to express how frustrated he is. (He was born and raised in North Carolina, so he’s ride or die.) The Panthers only got second and fifth-round draft picks in the deal. So he’s sad to lose him, but also mad they didn’t get more. He tagged the Panthers and said, “WHAT ARE WE DOING?!?!? No first-round pick for [Christian]McCaffrey a few years back, and now none for Burns?!?! Are we just fire-bombing the whole team here or what?” “I usually don’t comment on these kinds of things, but it’s just becoming slow torture at this point.” The Panthers haven’t made the playoffs since 2017. Only two teams have longer droughts . . . eight seasons for the Broncos, and 13 for the Jets.
Zach Bryan went from Pittsburgh to Buffalo on his Quittin’ Time Tour . . . but he left his BRAIN behind. Because he asked the Buffalo crowd, quote, “How’s everyone feeling in Pittsburgh this evening?” He was pretty horrified when he realized his mistake, though. He said, “I’m so sorry, we were in Pittsburgh last night. I swear to God, I know we are in Buffalo. I am so sorry, Buffalo. So sorry!” He added that this happened to him one time before, in Detroit, and he almost got attacked by, “four dudes in a parking lot.”
