Cody Johnson was brought to tears during a show in California over the weekend, when he saw a young girl holding a sign that said, “I survived my bone marrow transplant to see CoJo. Your biggest fan.” Cody actually stopped the show to step off the stage and give the kid a hug. After he got back to the microphone he took a few seconds to compose himself and wipe away tears. Then he told the young lady, “You don’t ever give up, you understand? Don’t you ever give up. Keep fighting strong.”
How did JellyRoll get his name? It turns out that Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, said his mom has been calling him that since he was little. But it wasn’t just his Mom who called him Jelly Roll growing up. Apparently, a childhood friend named One Arm Clay also decided to name him Jelly Roll. Jelly said, “One Arm Clay was like, ‘We should call you Jelly Roll’ . . . “I was like, ‘My mama calls me Jelly Roll.'” And thus ended the greatest artist-naming of all time.

Do you remember the case of Luke Bell? He mysteriously disappeared in 2022, until authorities found him a week later dead of a fentanyl overdose. Well, a new documentary about his life is now in production called, “Where Ya Been? The Odyssey and Elegy of Luke Bell”. There is a Kickstarter if you want to pitch in to help complete the film.
