Charlie Sheen is going on six months sober after giving up alcohol cold turkey.  He says his former self was “some alien version”, and he’s living a more consistent lifestyle now raising his twin 14-year-old boys.

Morgan Wallen has come a long way from being just another rowdy dude getting arrested at Kid Rock’s place in Nashville.  He told “Billboard” about the different things he has to do to avoid being recognized. “Everything has gotten so, so huge.  I don’t really go to the grocery store. I have to go through back doors to go to the doctor and all that kind of stuff.” Sometimes, after he goes hunting, he doesn’t even change clothes.  Quote, “I’ll leave on my cap, camo top, and a little face paint, just enough so I can sneak around . . . just wherever I can go . . . maybe a Mexican restaurant.” Here’s a change that’s more about maturity than fame.  He doesn’t get “half lit” before going on stage.  Quote, “I used to be scared to even think about playing a show without drinking.  And now I’m scared to wonder what it would be like if I WAS drunk.” That change is very important now that he’s doing arenas and stadiums.  Quote, “There are a lot more ways you can fall on a big stage than on a little one.”

Shania Twain was excited to see Taylor Swift named the “Time” magazine “Person of the Year” this week. Yesterday, Shania Tweeted, “Taylor is [about] the same age I was when the ‘Come On Over’ album [and] tour became bigger than I ever thought possible.  It was a pretty overwhelming and complicated gift!” That’s wild to think about:  Shania was in her early-30s when she became a sensation, and Taylor is in her early 30s now, and she’s recorded 10 albums, re-recorded four of them, and been touring for about 15 years. Taylor did an interview with “Time”, and one of the things she said really resonated with Shania:  “I’ve been raised up and down the flagpole of public opinion so many times in the last 20 years . . . I’ve been given a tiara, then had it taken away.” Shania said, “I relate to [that] even now.  Don’t underestimate the work and commitment this woman and plenty others have made, it never just falls into a girl’s hands.”

Chris Janson is one of the nicest guys out there, so you KNOW this was an accident.  He lost the grip on his harmonica during a recent show in Oklahoma City . . . and it went flying through the air and hit someone in the crowd. He immediately knew what happened, and said, quote, “Oh [crap], are you okay?”  According to a source it hit a woman . . .  and she’s fine.

While you were sleeping, 77-year-old Dolly Parton got a thousand more things done.  Here’s one of them.  She bought a building in downtown Nashville and is planning to turn it into a hotel. It’s a 233,000 square foot, 11-story building and the price tag was $75 million.  She tells the “Nashville Business Journal”, quote, “I strongly believe in the future of Nashville and feel this is a great investment.”

Derek Hough revealed his wife, Hayley Erbert, underwent emergency brain surgery. He said Thursday morning that Haley “became disoriented and was taken to the hospital” at the end of their show in Washington, D.C., Wednesday night. “She was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma from a burst blood vessel and required an emergency craniectomy. This is a collection of blood within the brain tissue or underneath the skull, which then presses on the brain. It’s usually caused by a blood vessel in the brain that bursts, typically as a result of some sort of head trauma. Derek didn’t say if Hayley had recently fallen or gotten hit; however, the pair “got into a pretty scary car accident in the mountains” a year ago. At the time, they said they were “both okay” following the crash and that Hayley “only walked away a little banged up” with “a swollen face and four stitches above [her] eyebrow.” She is “in stable condition” following the operation.
