Being invited to join the Grand Ole Opry is a huge deal. When that invitation is delivered by Garth Brooks, well . . . Merry Christmas, Scotty McCreery. That was his early present at the Opry Country Christmas Show on Sunday. Garth surprised him with a large box decorated with gold wrapping paper and a huge red bow, told him there’s a card inside that he signed . . . and eventually admitted that it’s an invitation to join the Opry. They joked around a bit, and then Garth got official, and said, “On behalf of the Grand Ole Opry, we would love for Scotty McCreery to be the newest member.” After the applause died down Scotty said, “Yes, I would love to.” Scotty’s induction date will be announced soon
Miranda Lambert turned 40 last month, and just shared a bunch of pics from her star-studded birthday party. She said she got to “enter a new decade with deer friends and family at [her] favorite honky tonk,” Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth. Stars in attendance included Ashley Monroe, Dierks Bentley, Lainey Wilson, Caylee Hammack, and Little Big Town. Miranda said it took her three weeks to post the photos, because there were so many to sift through. She started posted them in bunches yesterday. Meanwhile, she also just announced the final nine dates of her Las Vegas residency that started way back in September of 2022. The last nine shows are in March and April of next year. Members of her fan club get first access to those tickets starting TODAY. Everyone else can start buying this Friday.
Rascal Flatts guitarist Joe Don Rooney settled his messy divorce back in September. . . and the details were just released. The biggest news is that his ex-wife, model Tiffany Fallon, isn’t getting any spousal support. She will receive child support, though. She was named the primary residential parent for their three kids, but they’ll split custody down the middle . . . having the kids 182-and-a-half days per year each. They’re also barred from making “derogatory comments” about one another to the children.The judge said that both Joe Don and Tiffany shared the responsibility for the demise of the marriage.
Hank Williams Jr. announced a tour next year to celebrate the 45th anniversary of his all-time classic album, “Family Tradition”. He’ll be joined by Whiskey Myers, Neal McCoy, Old Crow Medicine Show, and Charley Crockett on select dates.
Cole Swindell is hitting the road in May for his “Win the Night” tour. He’ll be bringing Dylan Scott, Lily Rose, Meghan Patrick, and Jon Langston . . . with Restless Road joining them on select dates.
