It’s a new trend on social media. Basically, there’s an app that uses A.I. to turn YOU into a ’90s-era yearbook photo, and once it went viral, some celebrities got into the act and shared theirs.
This is the first time I’ve ever seen someone in a wheelchair “crowd surf” their way up to the stage. It was at a recent Jelly Roll concert . . . and Jelly’s the one who made it happen. As you probably know, he loves having people come up and sing with him. When he saw the guy in the wheelchair, he stopped everything . . . but he also knew it would take a group effort. He said, quote, “We need to get him to the stage. We need a lot of help, we can’t drop the ball on this one . . . this is big. All hands on deck right here, boys, I appreciate y’all helping us. Let’s get him up right here.” Once the guy was safely on stage, Jelly gave him a handshake, a big hug, and then they sang “Son of a Sinner”.
Shay Mooney from Dan + Shay said he’s pretty sure he once got Shaquille O’Neal’s dry cleaning by mistake. He talked about it at a fundraiser in Vegas for The Shaquille O’Neal Foundation on Saturday. Shay is about a foot-and-a-half shorter than Shaq, he said he was staying at a fancy hotel in L.A. a while back, and someone at the desk told him his dry cleaning was ready., “I get into the room, and I find this bag. [So] I open it up, and I see what I think is a black shirt.” But it turned out it wasn’t a shirt . . . it was a massive pair of BOXER SHORTS. He found more clothes in a closet that someone dropped off, and everything was huge. And that’s when he realized “Shay” is only one letter off from “Shaq” immediately texted pics to his friends.
Hardy’s fans have been sending their support as he deals with anxiety from last year’s bus crash . . . and he’s very thankful. His wife Caleigh put it into words on her Instagram story. Here’s some of what she wrote. “I want to thank you for your kind messages. The love and support has been overwhelming in the best way possible, and it means more to us than you could ever imagine. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
Rodney Atkins has been battling a lung infection the past two weeks. He was trying to “play through it” but no luck. Because of that he had to reschedule his shows from Friday and Saturday on doctor’s orders to rest and recuperate. He says, “Please accept my sincere apology for any disappointment or frustration this may have caused.” He has about a month to get better before his next scheduled show, which is November 4th.
Russell Dickerson’s wife Kailey gave birth to the couple’s second child on Saturday. He’s a boy, and they named him Radford Arthur. He joins the couple’s other son, Remington Edward, who turned three last month.
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill celebrated their 27th anniversary on Friday. Tim poured his love out in a post on Instagram, and included a photo from the day they MET. The pic shows them backstage at the “new faces” show at the Country Radio Seminar in 1994.
Chris Lane and his wife Lauren Bushnell officially changed their younger son’s MIDDLE name. It was Weston, but NOW it’s just “West.” They say his personality is more West than Weston.
NBC’s Christmas at the Opry has announced an all-star lineup of country stars set to take the Grand Ole Opry House stage on Dec. 7. Wynonna will host the highly anticipated musical event that, following its airing, will stream the next day on Peacock. The festive two-hour special will feature performances by Breland, Brenda Lee, Chris Janson, Chrissy Metz, Kelly Clarkson, Lauren Alaina, Meghan Patrick, Mickey Guyton, Mitchell Tenpenny and Trace Adkins.
Caitlyn Jenner is on track to spend the rest of her life by herself — because romance just isn’t in the cards for her she says. She also said she might not even date ever again, ’cause she apparently doesn’t see or need that in her future going forward.
