Gary Busey rear-ended a woman in Malibu last week, then fled the scene. So she chased him down. She eventually caught up to him at a restaurant parking lot, where she scolded him and tried to get his information. He told her he has “Progressive insurance,” but refused to give her anything else because, quote, “I’m private.”Then he took off again. Oprah and The Rock thought they were doing a good thing when they teamed up to ask people to donate to Maui wildfire relief. They even kicked off the fundraiser by dropping $10 million into the pot. But a lot of people think it’s RIDICULOUS for them to ask normal folks to donate . . . especially in this economy . . . when those two could give so much more. And yes, they’re making their voices heard. Oprah, who’s a billionaire two and a half times over, got comments like these on her Instagram: “You have billions. You could donate $100 million and still be as wealthy as before donating. YOU give the money.””10 million is 0.5% of 2 billion, you want my 0.5%? Here comes $16 (I gave it to you post-tax).” “This should be a private message between you and your billionaire mates. It’s so outrageous that you are pleading for money.” “Girlfriend, it would take me almost 20 years to make the amount of money you did JUST TODAY. You do it. We’re struggling over here.” The Rock is worth an estimated $300 million. His blowback included this comment: “Dig in those deep pockets Rock! You got this. Maui will thank you.”
Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have called it quits after four years of marriage. Joe filed yesterday, but according to a source, he didn’t really want to, and tried to salvage it. His filing claims the marriage is “irretrievably broken”. They share two daughters, ages three and one. He’s asking for joint custody and says the kids have been living with him lately in Miami and on tour with the Jonas Brothers. It’s unclear WHY they’re getting divorced. One source says Joe and Sophie have had many disagreements. Another says they have different lifestyles and alleges that Sophie likes to party, and Joe likes to stay at home.Last year Sophie said she missed England and was going to “drag” Joe back so she could be near her family and friends for her mental health. So it’s all speculation at this point.
“The Exorcist: Believer” opens October 6th, and it’s supposed to be the first installment in a trilogy. Ellen Burstyn is back as Chris MacNeil, attempting to help two young girls who’ve apparently been possessed by the same demon that possessed her daughter Regan in the original movie. Linda Blair famously played Regan, and there’s been no concrete news about her potential involvement. But a new trailer just dropped, and it might contain a little spoiler about that. In the clip, one of the possessed girls says, quote, “Are you looking for Regan? She burns in hell!” So is Regan dead? Was that soundbite creatively edited? Is the demon lying? They do that, you know.
