Cody Johnson released a video tease of a new love song called “The Painter”.  The clip is very sweet.  It shows Cody and his wife slow dancing in a field as the song plays in the background.  It starts out in black and white and goes to color to match the lyrics.  No word when it’ll be out.

Randy Travis will be honored this October by his musical heroes and friends with a tribute concert in Alabama.  A portion of the proceeds will go to the Randy Travis Foundation, which focuses on stroke and aphasia awareness, as well as music education in schools.

Luke Combs has wrapped the U.S. leg of his stadium tour, and he has a few thoughts about it.  Quote, “It’s been insane, bigger and better than I could have ever imagined and just absolutely crazy.  [I hope] we continue to do shows like this for a long time.”

One of Jimmie Allen’s accusers has asked a judge to dismiss Jimmie’s countersuit that she illegally took his phone.  It’s the phone he used to secretly record them having sex in a Las Vegas hotel room.  She says THAT makes it “evidence of a crime”, so she can’t be sued for giving it to the police.   

Kelsea Ballerini will be releasing a Deluxe version of her “Rolling Up the Welcome Mat” EP on August 11th.  She’s calling it “Rolling Up the Welcome Mat (For Good)” . . . and it features updated versions of songs from the original album, plus one new track titled “How Do I Do This”.   

Lee Brice granted a fan’s wish to join him on stage to sing “I Hope You’re Happy Now”.  It happened on Sunday at Lee’s concert in Doswell, Virginia. 

Dylan Scott’s son started kindergarten this week, and it reminded him that life can fly by in the wink of an eye.  So, he picked up his guitar and launched into “Good Times Go By Too Fast”.  He posted the clip on Instagram. 

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend showed off their house in a video for “Architectural Digest”. Their daughter Luna, who’s 7 years old, has a LOFT in her bedroom.  It’s got a staircase going up one side, and on the other there’s a slide that ends in a BALL PIT.  She also has a swinging couch. 5-year-old Miles has a safari theme in his bedroom, complete with a Jeep bunk bed with working headlights.  There’s also a cave where he can read, and a climbing wall to get up to HIS loft.

George Clooney, Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio, and more have raised over $15 million for the SAG-AFTRA Foundation to support journeymen actors who are facing economic hardship because of the strike.

Marc Gilpin died after a battle with cancer.  He was 56.  Marc played Chief Brody’s younger son Sean in “Jaws 2” . . . and he was the younger brother of Peri Gilpin from the sitcom “Frasier”.

California politicians want Taylor Swift to cancel her L.A. tour dates in solidarity with striking hotel workers.
