The site AllAxess.com did a deep dive to find the most-googled country stars so far in 2023. Can you guess who #1 is? They’ve been tracking 62 different artists for the past six months, and Morgan Wallen is #1 by a pretty good margin. Americans have googled his name an average of 1.5 million times per month this year. His big 36-track album “One Thing at a Time” came out in March, so that’s a big reason why. Lainey Wilsonis #2 at 1.18 million. Her fourth album “Bell Bottom Country” came out last fall. She also played Abby on “Yellowstone” last season, so that gave her a boost. In third place is Dolly Parton with just over 1 million searches a month. She’s been on our mind because her new album “Rockstar” comes out in November. And right behind her in fourth place is Shania Twain with about 900,000 searches. Her new album “Queen of Me” came out back in February.
Zach Bryan is dating a woman named Brianna LaPaglia. She goes by the name Brianna Chickenfry on TikTok . . . and she co-hosts a podcast on Barstool Sports called “PlanBri Uncut”. She revealed the details on yesterday’s pod. Quote, “I’ve been hanging out with a guy named Zach Bryan. [Just] gonna go ahead and say it. Started hanging out with Zach, what, three weeks ago? “It’s fun, it’s casual, and yeah, just wanted to address it because the whole internet is freaking the [eff] out and people are doing sh***. And yeah, that’s really it, just hangin’ out, having some fun. “For some reason I thought I was never gonna have to say it. I thought it was going to be the one thing from the Internet that I could keep a secret.” They met at the ACMs, which is around when Zach announced he had broken up with his girlfriend Debra. He was married to a woman named Rose Madden from 2020 to 2021.
I’m just going to throw this out there because it’s so odd. Jimmie Allen announced that he’s doing a three-night comedy tour in the fall. It’s called “I Said What I Said”. He hasn’t revealed the dates yet, and the shows are invite only. So if you’re interested, hit up his Instagram. And while you’re there, read some of the comments . . . like this one, “Is this post a joke? I’m honestly asking.” Or this, “Very strange choice of comeback.” This commentor thinks it’s a great idea: “After one of your concerts I was like, ‘Jimmie is funny as hell. If he ever gets tired of music he could do comedy.'” It’s possible that Jimmie IS joking. If so, it’s not funny. He’s facing serious sexual assault allegations, and there’s no humor in that. If the standup tour is really happening, then he’s even more clueless than I thought.
The Chicks had to postpone last night’s show in Nashville due to an illness, but there aren’t any other details. The Chicks say they’ll announce a make-up date soon. They’re supposed to be in Knoxville tomorrow, and for now that’s still a go.
