Thanks to the “Barbie” movie, old Allan dolls have shot up in price on eBay. Allan is a friend of Ken’s, but he was discontinued in the ’60s. And Jonathan Groff, from Lancaster County was asked to play Allan in the new Barbie movie but he wasn’t available.
John Lennon and Paul McCartney have the most valuable song catalog, at $500 million. They’re followed by Michael Jackson at $375 million, and Rodgers and Hammerstein at $350 million.
Tim McGraw did a surprise, invite-only show in L.A. Monday night at Whisky a Go Go on the Sunset Strip. There’s a video of him showing up for it and high-fiving fans lined up outside. The set lasted about an hour. He did a mix of old stuff and new, including songs from his album “Standing Room Only” that comes out next month. He also brought up a special guest, singer-songwriter Richard Marx. He also called out a young fan in the crowd for making him a bracelet with his wife and daughters’ initials on it.
Cody Johnson’s been recording a ton of new music . . . and some of it’s coming out very soon. He said, “On August 14th, we have a new single going to radio. “It’s called ‘The Painter’. And this fall, the first part of my deluxe album will come out. I’ve been secretly behind everybody’s back recording a 24-track deluxe album.” That album will be called “Leather”. There’s also a concept album on the way called “The Cowboy Sessions”. It’ll be covers of cowboy songs by artists like Marty Robbins, Willie Nelson, Chris LeDoux, and George Strait.” We may ALSO see a bluegrass, gospel, or even a rock album.
Lainey Wilson got a huge boost from being in “Yellowstone”, but her appreciation of the show goes beyond what it did for her career. “I love what they’ve done for the Western way of life. I love what they’ve done for country music. I think it was really perfect timing for me and what I do, too, because it’s kind of like they might make country music cool again.”
Miranda Lambert is mourning the loss of her rescue dog, Thelma, who she adopted back in 2016, alongside Louise. Both Thelma and Louise were Great Pyrenees, who lived at her farm near Nashville. On Instagram, Miranda said, “it hurts so bad” to lose pets, “but their love is always worth it.”

Hulk Hogan has wedding bells in his future … he just got engaged to his girlfriend of over a year. The pro wrestling icon and Sky Daily got engaged last week, with Hogan popping the question at a restaurant in Tampa, Florida. Sky, who is a yoga instructor, has three children of her own, and he fell in love with all of them. Hulk starting dating her after his divorce from his second wife, Jennifer McDaniel, was finalized. Hulk had to buy Jennifer a new car as part of the divorce settlement. Hogan and Jennifer were married for over 10 years, tying the knot in 2010 after he split from his first wife, Linda Hogan.

Lady Gaga has fond memories of her beloved friend and musical collaborator Tony Bennett, who died last Friday at the age of 96. Gaga asked Tony to draw her a trumpet, and he sketched Miles Davis’ trumpet and she had it tattooed with his last name, Benedetto, underneath. Just so she would always remember this time together.
