We’re used to Morgan Wallen dominating the charts and selling tons of records, so I’m not surprised he’s making history on the concert circuit. Both of his shows last Thursday and Friday at Chicago’s Wrigley Field were sell-outs. He’s now the first country artist to sell out back-to-back nights at that stadium. Morgan’s recent vocal issues didn’t hold him back at Wrigley. Bailey Zimmerman, Ernest, and Hardy were the openers, but Morgan owned the night. He performed for two hours, give or take. There was a charitable moment backstage when Morgan donated $100,000 to the Chicago Park District. The funds will help revitalize a local baseball field. He said, quote, “The mission with our foundation is to support youth programs in sports and music.”
Eric Church always does at least one Bob Seger song when he performs in Detroit, Bob’s hometown. But his show on Friday was somethin’ special . . .Here’s the backstory: Before he was big, Rascal Flatts CANNED Eric as their opening act because his sets always ran long. But Bob immediately reached out when he heard and gave him a job opening for him instead. Eric told the story at his show in Detroit on Friday, saying, “I would not be here at all if it weren’t for Bob Seger.” And this time, he didn’t just cover one of Bob’s songs . . . he played a BUNCH. He did a 12-minute medley of eight different songs: “Turn the Page” . . . “Like a Rock” . . . “Roll Me Away” . . . “Mainstreet” . . . “Get Out of Denver” . . . “You’ll Accomp’ny Me” . . . “Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man” . . . and “Night Moves”. He also wore a Bob Seger t-shirt for the gig. You can watch the whole thing online.

It isn’t shocking that Michael was there. If you didn’t know, he’s the co-owner of 23XI Racing, which fields cars for Bubba and Tyler.
Zach Bryan doesn’t have Maggie Rogers hanging around all the time to help him perform “Dawn”. So why not bring a random fan up to the stage take her place? That’s what he did at his recent show in Forest Hills, New York. He thanked her later in a Tweet, writing, “To that amazing girl who got up during ‘Dawns’, you killed it. Sorry for throwing you in the spotlight.
Walker Hayes rescheduled his show in Alabama from Saturday night to last night because he was feeling sick. He said, quote, “It’s been a crazy weekend and I just tried to power through the shows and I don’t feel like I can give y’all the best that I’ve got . . . I’m so sorry and let me get well and we’ll be back.”
“Standing Room Only” isn’t just the title of Tim McGraw’s latest hit single. It’s also the name of his 17th studio album, which will be out August 25th. He says, quote, “I’ve been working on it since 2020, and this collection of songs are some of the most emotional, thought-provoking, and life-affirming music I’ve ever recorded.”
