If it seems like Luke Bryan is everywhere, that’s because he is. He’s been working so much that his life needs a tune-up. That’s what he told “ET” at his fan club party in Nashville. “I love to get out there and work. But I’m not really balancing it that well this year. I [told my wife], ‘Baby, this is a rough year, let’s just get through it and then we’ll find a boat and go to the Caribbean or something.'” He did recently carve out time to go golfing and fishing with his sons, and to catch some of their baseball games. Quote, “They’re playing travel baseball. You just try to make your time with them at home really, really count.” (His son Bo is 15, and Tate is 12.) By the way, Luke needs YOUR help. He shared a clip of himself on stage performing a new song. He didn’t mention the title, but he did write this in the caption, “Unreleased. What do y’all think?”
Remember when grandma and grandpa were afraid of computers? Some people are getting that same vibe from artificial intelligence. Darius Rucker was asked if he might use it as a songwriting tool. Not going to happen. “Technology is WAY in front of me. I wanna keep doing things the way I do it, and write songs the way I write songs, and let the chips fall where they may. The A.I. thing is scary, man, it’s scary. “I don’t wanna wake up one day and have a robot standing over me. It’s scary. But technology can be that way.”
When Kane Brown’s wife Katelyn recently had to miss one of his shows, he had to find a replacement for their duet, “Thank God”. So, he brought a young fan onstage to help him sing the song. The fan’s mom, said, quote, “Thank you for giving my baby this moment! She is still talking about how you made her dream come true!”
Brooks & Dunn have been around since the ’90s, but they’re still relevant. There are a million reasons for that, and one of them is that they don’t phone it in. Megan Moroney is on the road opening for them, and she sees it first-hand. She talked about it in a recent interview. Quote, “As far as what I’ve learned from them. They’ve been doing this for a long time and they’re still working as hard as they used to. They’re hard workers and they give it their all every single night.” They also like working her. There’s a video making the rounds of Megan joining them on stage to sing “Cowgirls Don’t Cry”.
If Luke Combs is recording new music, I want to know about it. You too? Yesterday, Shenandoah posted a photo of Luke with his arm around lead singer Marty Raybon. The caption read, quote, “Good times in the studio today with Luke. We have some exciting things in the works. Stay tuned.”
