Blake Shelton received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Friday. His wife Gwen Stefani called him a rare human being in her speech. She said, “You are part of the country dream, the Hollywood dream, and you are part of the American dream. And everybody knows you are my dream come true. I love you.” Gwen also said that despite all his successes, he’s still the same humble and genuine country guy. “He’s magnetic, the most generous person you’ll ever know and always just him.” When it was Blake’s turn to speak, he said, quote, “I kind of stopped checking things off my list of great accomplishments in my life when I married Gwen, so this is just icing on the cake.” Blake dedicated the star to his late brother Richie.
Jimmie Allen is in big trouble after his former day-to-day manager filed a lawsuit last week accusing him of SEXUAL ASSAULT. She says he assaulted her multiple times over the course of two years. He claims everything was consensual but admits they did have an affair. News of the lawsuit hit last Thursday, and the fallout has been fast and fierce. By Friday, his label BBR Music Group decided to “suspend all activity with him.” And his agent UTA also cut ties. And if you’d been hoping to see him at CMA Fest next month, you won’t. They dropped him too. The show’s set for next month in Nashville, but he won’t be performing anymore. Jimmie and his wife Lex . . . who’s currently PREGNANT with their third kid . . . announced they were separating last month.
Dollywood opened its brand-new roller coaster on Friday. It’s called Big Bear Mountain, and Dolly Parton was on-hand to partake in the festivities. Dolly wasn’t onboard for the first run. She didn’t ride it at all. She claimed she was too old . . . she’s 77 . . . but it doesn’t sound like it’s her thing anyway. She said, “I think I’d lose my hair . . . I think I’d lose my nerve!” She did have a lot of fun with the crowd though. She joked that she came dressed as “bear bait” . . . looking like a girl with a pot of honey. Dolly also sang a big bear-themed song that she said she wrote just for the coaster . . . and did a countdown for the coaster’s first ride.
Chris Stapleton was being interviewed backstage after winning Entertainer of the Year on Thursday, and somebody asked where the trophy is going to live. I know where it WON’T be. His house. In fact, YOU may get a chance to see it. He said, “Some of ’em, we [put] on the road in the VIP section for the fans to see. That’s who they belong to. I don’t have ’em in my house or anything like that. So, I don’t sit around in a shrine of myself or anything.”
It’s been a couple of weeks since Willie Nelson’s 90th birthday bash in L.A., but “People” is still releasing stuff they talked about in their exclusive interview. Since the whole thing was about his 90th birthday, that had to be addressed. He said, “I never thought I’d get here.” And this is no surprise, he believes performing is his fountain of youth. Quote, “I get a lot of fun out of playing for an audience. There’s a great energy exchange there. It’s what keeps me going.”
Ed Sheeran had a plan in place when he invited Luke Combs to help him sing “Life Goes On” at the ACMs. They had already recorded a version of it, and it dropped right after their performance.
Morgan Wallen had a birthday on Saturday, and he shared it with someone very special. His son Indigo. He posted pics of them sitting in a truck, and he wrote, “Celebrating 30 with my dawg.” Indigo will be turning three in July.
