Kelsea Ballerini and ex-husband Morgan Evans are in the “pointing fingers” stage of their crumbled marriage. During an interview on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Kelsea made it sound like she barely loved Morgan. “I didn’t want to have a wedding. I swore I would never get married. He loved me more at 23 . . . and I love me more at 29.” That sounds like she’s saying HE pressured her into get married. She did admit it was HER idea to get divorced, and that’s when things got nasty. “As he’s putting out a song about being blindsided, he’s taking half the house he didn’t pay for. How was I married to this person for this long and had no idea that that bit of character was tucked within that human being?” When asked if she’s ready to date again, she said she’s “never really dated” and “doesn’t know how it works” but admitted she’s NOT single. So I guess she and Chase Stokes are official? Meanwhile, Morgan hit up Twitter sounding surprised by everything Kelsea’s been saying. “It’s really sad for me to see this person, who I spent so much of my life with, and loved with all my heart, saying things that aren’t reality, and that leave out what really happened. She knows I’m not the type of guy to speak on those things publicly. If this is what she needs to heal, I hope it helps. All I ask is that if you’re on my pages, please don’t be mean to Kelsea, don’t be mean to each other. Life’s too short.”
Zach Bryan headlined two shows in Aspen, Colorado this week. And he met a young guy at the airport named Wynne Williams, who was carrying a saxophone case. Wynne told him he’d been hoping to catch one of Zach’s shows while he was in town, but couldn’t get tickets. So Zach not only got him to the show, he had him PERFORM at it. He said he’d get him in if he agreed to jump on stage and play with the band. He brought him up near the end, and there’s footage of it online. The kid’s pretty good.
A couple years ago, the cops in Nashville arrested Morgan Wallen for public intoxication and disorderly contact. But a few days ago, he had a pleasant meet-up with the Nashville police. He greeted the cops on the street, and posed for a picture with them.
During an interview on his daughter Mattie’s “In-Joy Life” podcast Alan Jackson said he doesn’t tour much, but the “creative part jumps out now and then” . . . and he feels like there WILL be new music on the way.
Sara Evans has introduced her own line of CBD products. They’re named after her song “Born to Fly”, and you can buy them at SaraEvansCBD.com. She uses them to deal with lingering joint pain and anxiety from a terrible car accident when she was eight years old.
Lauren Alaina announced that she’s opening for Pentatonix on the North American leg of their World Tour. She’ll join them on August 9th in Jacksonville, Florida. The tour wraps September 16th in Puyallup, Washington. You can see all the dates on Lauren’s Twitter page.
Jo Dee Messina is on tour right now, and as an ode to her 1996 hit, it’s called the “Heads Carolina, Tails California” tour. It kicked off in North Carolina last week and will wrap up in California in November. She’s also releasing a greatest hits album next month.
