You will NOT find a betterNew Year’s resolution than Lainey Wilson’s. Here’s what she wrote: “This year’s resolution is going to be to maintain my big ass so more people can kiss it. Love y’all. Happy New Year.” It’s perfect because it’s the opposite of the usual “I’m gonna get in shape” nonsense . . . AND because it celebrates being a real woman. It didn’t come out of nowhere, though. There was a video a few weeks ago of her performing, and all anyone wanted to talk about was her beautiful backside. Instead of whining, she leaned into it on Instagram “[Whatever] brings the people in, but I’m just letting y’all know go check out my record ‘Bell Bottom Country’. “Happy to have you either way. However you found me, I’m happy you’re here.”
Some outtakes from Cher’s appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” were released recently, and in one, Cher and Kelly joke about how Willie Nelson’s tour bus smells like marijuana. Kelly said that when she was onboard she got a “contact high,” and added, “When you walked out you were definitely hungry.” Cher joked, “It was a terrible old bus. But he was great.”
Russell Dickerson and his wife Kailey revealed some very sad news this weekend. They’d been expecting a second child, but lost the baby in September at eight weeks. She talked about it on Instagram, and posted a shot of Russell and their two-year-old son Remington at the beach. The whole post is moving, but there’s also a lot of hope in there. She opened up about it on New Year’s Eve to, “leave this news in 2022.” She said she’s been holding Russell and their son “extra close” the last few months.
It wouldn’t be the holidays without Luke and Caroline Bryan doing the Pranksmas on each other, and others. “People” grabbed some posts, including Luke’s mom. This year they ALSO asked fans to send in their pranks, and Taste of Country has a few of those.
In case you missed it, Dolly Parton and her goddaughter Miley Cyrus performed together on New Year’s Eve. There’s a video making the rounds of them mashing up “Wrecking Ball” and “I Will Always Love You”. This was on “Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party” special, which aired on NBC.
Jelly Roll is focusing on weight loss for the new year. In an interview with “Music Mayhem”, he said, “I’m going to spend the first couple months of the year just focusing on family and health. “I lost some weight this year in 2022, but in 2023 I wanna finally conquer the demon. I don’t leave for a big tour until about the middle of the year. I plan on taking the first half of the year to tighten the album up and get some work in.”
