How many times have you thought, “I’d love to drink bourbon out of a red Solo cup with Miranda Lambert.” If you were a movie star like Jessica Chastain, you would’ve already had that offer. It happened at the CMAs. In a recent interview, Jessica was asked what six people she’d like to invite to her “dream dinner party”. She said, quote, “I met Miranda Lambert at the CMAs and she offered me bourbon in a red Solo cup, and I’m obsessed with her. She would be a fun addition to the party.” Jessica and Michael Shannon were there promoting the Showtime mini-series “George & Tammy”. By the way: The “George & Tammy” soundtrack is out today. It features songs from the series performed by Jessica and Michael.
Keith Urban must be in the spirit of giving because he just donated $250,000 to four charities in Nashville. They’re the Music Health Alliance, the Nashville Food Project, Thistle Farms, and Vanderbilt Breast Cancer Research. “I have a deep-seated respect and gratitude for the work these organizations do to make people’s lives more manageable. Their commitment to community shows how much we can accomplish when working together.
Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and their three daughters had a “dinner theme night” on Wednesday where they dressed up as characters from a movie. Care to guess what film? Nope, you’re not even close.Tim shared pics of them on Instagram, and wrote, “‘The Godfather’ dinner theme last night. Love my family and all the craziness that comes with it.” Their daughter Gracie also posted fun photos from the night.
Forget New York City, Nashville is the place to be on New Year’s Eve. There are some 50 performers, including the recently announced Luke Bryan, Sheryl Crow, Dierks Bentley, Ashley McBryde, Darius Rucker, and Lainey Wilson. “New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash” will air on CBS.
Jennifer Nettles from Sugarland is hosting a reality dating show for FARMERS. It’s called “Farmer Wants a Wife”, and it’ll premiere March 8th on Fox. It’s actually a reboot of an old show that ran in 2008 on the CW. A single farmer meets a bunch of CITY girls, and decides which one to marry.
The Oak Ridge Boys are celebrating the 40th anniversary of “Thank God for Kids”, which they first released in November of 1982. It was originally written and recorded by Eddy Raven in 1976. The Oak Ridge Boys are currently singing “Thank God For Kids” in their “Christmas in Tennessee Dinner Show.”
