Should Kentucky rename a state park after the late, great Loretta Lynn?  Fans say yes, and so does her family.  They just posted a link on her website to a Change.org petition encouraging lawmakers to do it.  The park they have in mind is Paintsville Lake State Park, a few miles from Butcher Hollow, where she was born.  The fan who launched the petition was hoping for 15,000 signatures.  Last we checked it was about to blow right past that number.

Sunday’s episode of “Yellowstone” brought us another new Lainey Wilson song.  It’s called “New Friends”, and it played while Jamie and Sarah were flirting at the bar. It’s on Lainey’s expanded version of “Bell Bottom Country” . . . along with last week’s new track, “Smell Like Smoke”.

Tracy Lawrence celebrated “Giving Tuesday” by donating $60,000 to fight homelessness across Middle Tennessee.  It involved him hand-delivering $10,000 to six different charities through his “Mission: Possible” organization. On top of that, Tracy’s annual Turkey Fry and Benefit Concert fed over 9,600 of those in need, and raised more than $250,000.

It’s been a minute since Kenny Chesney released new music, so this is promising. He shared a photo of himself overlooking a beach, and captioned it, “California dreaming on such a winter’s day.  Out here writing songs and thinking about next year’s tour make me happy.” Kenny’s last album, “Here and Now”, came out in 2020.
