DAVID ARQUETTE competed in a brutal “death match” at an indie wrestling show Friday night. His opponent smashed a fluorescent light tube over his head and opened a nasty cut on his neck.  It was bad enough that he needed stitches.

FRANKIE MUNIZ had a REALLY rough time last week . . . and it started with him flying to France to go to his uncle’s funeral. When Frankie got home, his house was FLOODED. And it was caused by his CAT.  He Tweeted, “I arrived home to find four [floors] of my 5-story brownstone home under three feet of water.  Everything I own, destroyed.  Every wall, piece of artwork, personal photos, furniture . . . all because my cat accidentally turned on a sink a few days ago while we were gone. “I’m devastated and exhausted from a tough week – I’ve cried more yesterday and today than my whole life combined.  Forgive me for venting.” Judging by Frankie’s social media feed, he was gone for about six days.

Before Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald Duck, there was Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. A 1928 Disney animation called “Neck n’ Neck” features the rabbit being chased by a dog traffic cop.  The owner was unaware of how rare the film was until he read a book by former Disney animator David Bossert which details the history of how many of the early films disappeared.

According to The Blast, GRETCHEN WILSON’s “breach of peace” arrest back in August seems to have gotten her cut from being on this season’s “Dancing with the Stars”. Gretchen was “locked down” as a cast member, but after the arrest they had some discussions and agreed she wouldn’t be a part of it.

In 1981 William Michael Albert moved from the United Kingdom to New York to launch a solo singing career. Albert is known to us as Billy Idol. He held the American flag and took the Naturalization Oath of Allegiance this week in Los Angeles. The 62-year-old rock star is now an American citizen.

DAN + SHAY were up for four awards at last week’s CMAs, but they came away empty-handed. DAN SMYERS put his thoughts and feelings into an Instagram post. He says he spent a day allowing himself to be sad, and then looked to the future.  “I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished and will work even harder for our fans in 2019.  Love to all who’ve been there for us.  We’re just getting started.”

A Waffle House had the first-ever Tunie Awards last week, and they named CHRIS STAPLETON as “Country Artist of the Year.” He even showed up to accept the award, or maybe he just happened to be there eating waffles.  But he did say, “I’ve had a lot of dreams come true, but one dream that I wanted is to have a song on the Waffle House jukebox.  “Not only did I get a song on the Waffle House jukebox, I got this fantastic award.  So thank you so much, Waffle House.  We love you – we’re going to keep on eating you – and I just can’t thank you enough.” Chris had the most country songs played.  Sam Hunt and Keith Urban also made the list.

Thanksgiving has CARRIE UNDERWOOD in a “count your blessings” kind of mood. “I am thankful for definitely my family. I have the best kid in the world [and] another on the way, and I’m excited that my busy season is about to slow down and I’m going to really get to spend some time with them.” Carrie’s husband Mike Fisher hit up Instagram with props on her Oklahoma Hall of Fame induction. He wrote, “You’ve remained humble in success and never craved the attention or fame one bit.  Thanks for always being the small town girl from Oklahoma even though you’re one of the biggest stars.”

Mickey Mouse made his official debut on the big screen back on November 18, 1928 in Steamboat Willie.
