She’ll be honored December 6th at the Billboard Women in Music dinner. Here’s what they said – “Ariana Grande is a star on her own terms, never bending to any particular musical trend or path in the industry. Certain in her convictions, she consistently stands up for herself and her decisions in a world that often isn’t hospitable to that sort of strength in young women. She’s got guts, she’s making some of the best music of her career and she’s absolutely deserving of Woman of the Year.”

RAELYNN moved to Nashville when she was 18. Pop Country asked if she has any advice for young female country artists trying to follow in her footsteps. She said the truth is that females have to spend more time paying their dues than the men do, but she said she wouldn’t change her path for anything. “I’ve been here for seven years and I’ve learned so much in those seven years. I’ve talked to many new artists . . . it’s stick to what you believe in, stick to what makes you different, and really just get to know people for who they are and not for what you want.”
