TIGER WOODS won his first tournament in FIVE years yesterday. It was the ‘Tour Championship’ . . . the final individual event of the PGA season. The win means Tiger may FINALLY be back. It’s his first win since the 2013 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, and he’s been through a LOT since then. All the personal drama aside, it’s been just 17 months since he had spinal fusion surgery . . . and not too long ago, it looked like he may NEVER again be competitive in a PGA tournament. But now, Tiger is looking to build on this, and make winning a MAJOR his goal for next year
The Vietnamese version of “The Bachelor” produced some drama unlike anything we’ve ever seen here . . . when two of the female contestants decided to dump the guy and run off TOGETHER! During the rose ceremony, one of the women told the Bachelor, “I went into this competition to find love and I’ve found that love for myself, but it isn’t with you.” Then she went to one of the other ladies and hugged her, and said, “Come home with me.” THAT woman had just been given a rose, but she went up and returned it, despite the Bachelor’s attempt to talk her out of it. The two women left together . . . but the second woman ended up changing her mind. She came back and accepted her rose after all.
“Grey’s Anatomy” enters its 15th season this year, and ELLEN POMPEO’s contract ends after Season 16. Will it continue after that? Who knows. She says, “I am really feeling like we have told the majority of the stories that we can tell . . . I’m definitely looking for a change.”
CARRIE UNDERWOOD just scored her fourth #1 album. “Cry Pretty” debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, after selling 266,000 copies. It’s the biggest sales week for a woman so far this year . . . and it’s the best sales week for a country album in more than three years. That dates back to when Luke Bryan sold 345,000 copies of “Kill the Lights” in 2015.
JASON ALDEAN stocked his tour bus full of some sweet new furniture. “I’ve got two cribs in the bus, which I never in the early days of my touring career thought I’d ever do. It’s a lot different now than it was in the early part of my career. Things are settled down.” Obviously one crib is for his son Memphis, who’s nine months. The other is for the future . . . he and his wife Brittany announced in June that they’re expecting. The other thing that’s different these days is playing in Vegas. He was there Friday night, and honored first responders before the show, and thanked the city. Next Monday is the one-year anniversary of the shooting. He plans to be home. “For us, that’s a day that’s hard to forget . . . to be back in Vegas this close to it is at times a little weird, but in another sense, it’s nice to be back.” He also did a concert in San Diego on Thursday, and a lot of survivors were there to, “finish the show.” A ton of people from Southern California were at the Vegas concert when the shooting happened.

In case you missed it, MICHAEL KETTERER was arrested last week for domestic violence, two days after coming in fifth on “America’s Got Talent”. He’s the guy GARTH BROOKS wrote a song for. It happened on Thursday afternoon in Los Angeles, the day after the finale. He got into a fight with his wife in their hotel room, someone called the cops, and when they got there, she had a visible red mark somewhere on her body. She didn’t want to press charges, but the way the law works, there was enough evidence to arrest him anyway. So he was cuffed, booked for a felony, and released after posting $50,000 bail. TMZ has video of him in the back of a police car, talking to the arresting officers, but you can’t really see anything. Michael told TMZ that while he and his wife did get into a fight, the arrest was a big, “misunderstanding.” And the police say the case will be downgraded to a misdemeanor, because the injury is so minor. No word on whether any of this affects Garth’s offer to have Michael perform at his show at Notre Dame next month.
26 year old Selena Gomez gave 28 year old Taylor Swift praise this weekend, calling her a “big sister” who’s “so smart.” She appeared in her 2015 star-studded “Bad Blood” music video and months ago joined her onstage at one of her reputation stadium tour concerts. “Taylor is awesome,” Gomez said in an Instagram Live session with fans early on Saturday. “I love her. She’s amazing. I just talked to her today. She is literally like my big sister, I tell her everything. She is so smart, it freaks me out.”
