In Your Face, Nashville: Sturgill Simpson Announces New Tour Dates and You’re Not VIP

While the chances of hearing a Sturgill Simpson song on country radio are slim to none—and slim just left Nashville—you can catch country radio’s most underrepresented prodigy on tour in 2017.

Sturgill announced more than 20 tour dates today (Feb. 10), with stops at some pretty cool venues, including Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater, New York City’s Radio City Music Hall and Austin’s 360 Amphitheater.

Surprisingly Sturgill’s tour does not make a stop in Nashville, but he will play in just about every other major city within spitting distance to Music City, including Atlanta, Birmingham, Louisville and St. Louis. Are you happy, Nashville? You’re now in the Sturgill Simpson Bermuda Triangle Music City Quadrilateral.
