Watch Craig Campbell and Actress Scarlett Johansson Sing “These Boots Are Made For Walkin’” During USO Tour in Afghanistan

While in Afghanistan on the USO’s star-studded holiday tour—which also included stops in Turkey, Qatar and Germany—Craig Campbell sat down with actress Scarlett Johansson [Lost In Translation, Lucy] to duet on Nancy Sinatra’s 1966 hit “These Boots Are Made For Walkin,” as part of his Women Cover Wednesday #WCW video series, where Craig covers songs originally recorded by women.

While Craig may have had some trouble kicking off the song, the Tony Award-winning ScarJo delivered her lines with a calm as cool as the Lieutenant Colonel Cavalry Stetson on his head. Watch the performance below.

Craig and Scarlett are on the six-day, four-country USO holiday tour with Captain America himself, actor Chris Evans, as well as NBA All-Star and Olympic gold medalist Ray Allen, four-time Olympic swimming medalist Maya DiRado and renowned mentalist and entertainer Jim Karol.

“I had a great time visiting and performing for our nation’s service members and military families just a few months ago with the USO,” said Craig in a statement. “I am so honored that General Dunford invited me on this incredibly important tour. It really means a lot to have the opportunity to give back to those who give so much and to bring a little piece of home to them during the holidays.”

Craig is encouraging viewers to please join him, alongside Scarlet and the USO, in being a Force Behind the Forces and help the USO send 1.4 million messages of support to service members around the world by year’s end.
