Willie Nelson to Play Nashville Venue for the First Time in More Than 40 Years

If you thought Willie Nelson, 83, would be slowing down in the new year, think again. He’s already got more than 30 tour dates on the calendar, including a newly announced stop in Nashville.

For the first time in more than 40 years, Willie will play at Nashville’s War Memorial Auditorium on Jan. 7, 2017. Willie, who last played the venue in 1974, has recorded more than 200 albums in his six-decade career, including 2016’s Summertime: Willie Nelson Sings Gershwin, which was recently nominated for a Grammy for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.

Tickets for Willie’s Jan. 7 show at the War Memorial Auditorium will go on sale Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 10 a.m. CT. The venue seats around 2,000 people, so you’d better strike quickly if you want to see the show.
