Vote Now: Whose Upcoming Christmas Album Are You Most Looking Forward To From the Male Vocalists—Chris Young, Brett Eldredge or Rascal Flatts?

Country music fans are going to have a lot of new holiday music to enjoy in the coming months. Chris Young, Brett Eldredge and Rascal Flatts are all slated to drop Christmas albums this fall, as well as Reba McEntire and Kacy Musgraves.

Although track lists and album titles haven’t been released yet for the boys, Chris, Brett and the Rascals are already dropping hints about what’s to come.

Check out what the male vocalists have to say about their new holiday projects, and let us know whose Christmas album you’re most looking forward to this fall. We’ll get to the ladies’ albums next week.

Chris Young: “I’m really excited about the Christmas album. It’s just such a cool thing for me. I’m Comin’ Over was my fifth album. With this Christmas album, this will be my sixth, which I can’t believe. I’ve gotten to do a lot of really cool things in my career, but I love Christmas music and I’ve only ever put out one Christmas song that was on a Sony collection album. To be able to have a full project to really put my hands on is unbelievable. Having string parts and really getting to do some stuff that’s massively big as well as some stuff that’s stripped down and traditional sounding. It’s been a lot of fun and there are a lot of surprises and a lot more that I can’t wait to start telling people about, because it’s killing me not to be able to talk about it yet.”

Brett Eldredge: “I’ve been inspired for this record from a very young age. I dreamt of the day I could record all these classic songs that I’ve loved since I was a little kid. I recorded those classics in New York City and tried to give a tip of the hat to the ones that came before me—Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Ray Charles—by adding that swing and that soul to the best of my ability. When it came to actually recording, I wanted to live in the experience. We hung Christmas lights in the studio in the middle of May and had musicians from the best bands in the world all in the same room, from horns to strings. Everyone was so inspired to make this classic record. I think it really shows in the songs and I can’t wait for people to hear that magic we found.”

Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts: “We’re excited to have our first-ever Christmas record coming out soon. We’ve done some one-off [Christmas songs] here and there, but this is the first full project we’ve done. We’ve been working on it all summer. It’s been a little odd to sing ‘Let It Snow’ in 100-degree weather, but it’s been fun. It’s going to be some of our favorite Christmas classics.”
