Kenny Chesney Surprises Detroit Fans With Special Guest Kid Rock (Watch)

When Kenny Chesney’s Spread the Love Tour rolled into Detroit, Mich., on Saturday night (Aug. 13), he brought along pals Miranda Lambert, Jake Owen and Old Dominion. You would think that would be enough for a superstar show. But you can always expect a surprise or two at a KC show.

Little did the crowd of 45,000-plus know that their very own hometown rockstar, Kid Rock, would be in attendance. When Kenny introduced his friend and Detroit native, the crowd erupted. The two started singing the Allman Brothers’ “Midnight Rider” before going into Kid Rock’s hit “Cowboy.” That wasn’t all. The friendly duo belted out their own rendition of Hank Williams Jr.’s “Man to Man” and proceeded to whip the crowd into a frenzy with a cover David Allen Coe’s “You Never Even Called Me By My Name.”

Kenny isn’t stopping there, he will continue his Spread the Love Tour at New York’s Met Life Stadium on Aug. 20, and you just never know who might show up.
