Jon Pardi Scores First Career No. 1 With “Head Over Boots”

Jon Pardi got some party-worthy news over the weekend: “Head Over Boots,” the lead single from his 2016 album, California Sunrise, is No. 1 on both the Billboard Country Airplay and MediaBase charts. Written by Jon and Luke Laird, the tune is Jon’s first career No. 1, besting his 2013 No. 10, “Up All Night.”

“We came up with the idea for ‘Head Over Boots’ in Texas at a dance hall,” says Jon to Nash Country Daily. “I just wanted a song that when it comes on couples can dance to it. It talks about dancing, it talks about love, it talks about happiness. We did a good job crafting it to what we wanted it to be, it’s fun. When it comes on, I just want to be a fly on the wall in a club and watch people dance. It feels so good to be back on the charts. I’ve been kinda absent for the last two years.”

Jon will hit the road in September at part of Kip Moore’s Me and My Kind Tour.
