Former Subway sandwich chain pitchman Jared Fogle, who is serving a sentence for child pornography and sex offenses, was beaten in a Colorado federal prison in late January by another inmate. He pleaded guilty on Nov. 19 to charges of child pornography and traveling for illicit paid sex with minors. In December, Fogle appealed his 15-1/2-year sentence. Fogle suffered a bloody nose, swollen face and scratches on his neck after being beaten on Jan. 29 in a recreation yard by inmate Steven Nigg.

Robert Horton, known for his role as scout Flint McCullough in the Emmy-nominated series “Wagon Train,” died March 9 in Los Angeles. He was 91

DONALD TRUMP reportedly requires all his volunteers to sign a six-page contract that forbids them from saying anything bad about him . . . for the REST OF THEIR LIVES. But since they aren’t employees that are actually getting paid, the agreements probably wouldn’t hold up in court.

FRANK SINATRA JR. died yesterday of a heart attack while on tour in Daytona, Florida. He was 72.  Even though his music career lasted half a century, and he often worked alongside his father, Junior is probably best known for being KIDNAPPED back in 1963, when he was 19. FRANK SR. paid $240,000 in ransom to get him back, but the three kidnappers were eventually caught. Lawyers for the accused tried to argue that Frank Jr. had arranged the whole thing as a publicity stunt.  And there were even rumors Frank Sr. did it to jump-start his son’s singing career.  But there’s no evidence to support either claim. Here’s an interesting side-note:  When Frank Jr. was abducted, the kidnappers made Frank Sr. communicate with them via payphones.  So from then on, he ALWAYS carried 10 dimes with him, just in case. He was even buried with 10 dimes in his pocket.

DARIUS RUCKER loves his job, but hates that he has to go on the road and miss family stuff, like lacrosse and volleyball games. He says he’s finding it “tougher and tougher to leave.”

Family life suits David Beckham. The 40-year-old father of four is very much a hands-on dad. He says he will get physically ill when he has to leave the kids now. But as happy as David is spending time with sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz and daughter Harper, there’s one thing lacking: “I miss soccer every day,” he says.

“Scandal” is adding a character inspired by DONALD TRUMP.

The day before a show, MARIAH CAREY will only communicate through writing or sign language, so she can preserve her voice.

KENNY CHESNEY’s manager told “Billboard” they’re hoping to release a new album in May. And yesterday, Kenny posted a Facebook message that featured screen static and the words, “We didn’t turn it on, but we can’t turn it off.  Thursday, March 24th at 3:45 Central time.”  I’ll take a stab and guess that a new single will be out one week from today.

BRITNEY SPEARS made an appearance at the Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday. But she wasn’t there to sing, or dance.  She and her brother Bryan took the stage to introduce their sister, fledgling country singer JAMIE LYNN SPEARS, who was there to perform.

REBA MCENTIRE posted a photo of her and her girlfriends out on the town . . . and into several glasses of wine. She captioned it, “What do I love?  God and my girlfriends.  Thanks ladies for such a fun night tonight.  You make me laugh.”

Law & Order: SVU has been pulling from headlines for 17 seasons and counting, and now the long-running NBC drama is pulling from one of the biggest reality hits. The series is planning an episode inspired by The Bachelor set to air later this season. The hour is said to revolve around a fictional dating show called Heart’s Desire and will put the focus on the behind-the-scenes drama, and particularly the married creators behind the show, as well as the on-screen participants.

Toby Keith left us 10 months ago.  But his music keeps on keepin’ on in a big way.  He just went GOLD and PLATINUM again. His whole catalog has seen a boost since he passed away from cancer in February at the age of 62.  The RIAA honored him this week with four more certifications,…

While 2024 certainly had its moments of inspiration and incredible country music . . . we also lost more than a few country superstars. Here are some members of the country music family that passed away this year: 1.  Toby Keith.  July 8th, 1961 to February 5th, 2024 2.  Kris Kristofferson.  June 22nd, 1936 to…
